I guess the best place to start is at the beginning. Let's see what I have done.
- I have a date! Probably one of the most important details for a wedding.
- I have a location for the wedding and the rehearsal. For this one, I'm so lucky to have a great friend that has a great house in a great location. I went from potentially paying anywhere between $1500 - $3000 just for the rental space to a big, whooping $0!!
- I have a dress!! Now talk about important details. Everything for the wedding is based on the dress. I was extremely lucky to find my dress at thelimited.com That's right, ladies....The Limited sells wedding dresses. They are super cute and the fit was perfect! And even better was that I caught it on a sale. It was regularly $298, I caught a 40% off sale plus a coupon for $50.00 off! I paid $130 plus tax!
- I have my wedding colors...another important detail. Now, I will say that I am an indecisive bride so the colors changed several times. I'm sticking with what I have and I'm not changing....at least I don't think so.
- I have a photographer. Another great friend is an even greater photographer. More about him in another posting.
I think that's my list for now.
This week, I'll focus on narrowing down the guest list, finalizing the menu for the reception, pricing and checking out party rental equipment (chairs, tent, linens, etc...).
Oh! And creating my bouquet! I found a design that I absolutely love and I'm going to make my own bouquet. Don't worry, I'm going to post it as it goes along...good, bad or ugly. Hopefully, it won't be ugly.
Hang in there with me!
